Nordic Walking World Cup Race in Finland, Savonlinna city is part of the St. Olaf´s Marathon (Pyhän Olavin Maraton) which will be held in the city center on the 21 st of July 2019. The route is one of the most beautiful marathon routes in Finland (if not in a whole world) as it goes along the beautiful coast line of Savonlinna crossing the Savonlinna harbour and the ancient Olavi´s castle.
Route description:
Starting time: at 12:10 am / 21.7.2019 / Mass start
Distances: 10,6km (one lap) and 21,1km (2 laps)
Series, Men/Women: 15 and younger, 18, 20, M/N (general), 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 and over
Prices: 10,6km 30€ / 21,1km 35€

You can find the competition office from the OKL sports hall which is 100 meters from the competition area.

Race office is open on Saturday 20th July from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Sunday 21st July from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
There is a different desk for pre-registrations and registrations at the event. On Sunday the registration opens at 8:30 am and registration at the event closes at 11:30 am. You must confirm your registration 30 min before the start.
The entry fees will not be refunded in any case. You are able to transfer your registration to next year´s edition with a medical certificate or to another person (10 € transfer fee).
Every Nordic Walker will receive a medal and a t-shirt. All runners who have started will be participating in the race lottery.
Refreshment stations:
There will be refreshment stations every 4 km with water, sport drink, juice, raisins and pickled cucumber
Venue facilities:
Dressing rooms, showers and bag storage available close to the race office. There is also a beach to swim in fresh and clean lake water near to the competition area.
